Understanding Human Sexuality and Gender Identity: Towards an Inclusive and a Sensitive Church- January 27th- 28th, 2020

This was a joint program organised by the Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong in collaboration with the ESHA project of the National Council of Churches in India, Nagpur. The program took place in the MLCU campus in Shillong on the 27th to the 28th of January, 2020.

Ms. Magdalene Jeyarathnam, Director of Indian Institute of Psychodrama and East West Center of Counselling and Training, as part of the NCCI team facilitated a two day workshop on '' Understanding definitions and Medical perspectives related to Human Sexuality and Gender Identities" and Self Analysis. The sessions were conducted for all the faculty of MLCU and their PhD scholars.

DANCE MOVEMENT THERAPY WORKSHOP| December 14th & 15th, 2019

The focus of the Dance Movement Therapy workshop was on Trauma and Body. It was facilitated by Katia Verreault (Amsterdam) – Group facilitator, Dance movement therapist, Dance instructor and Founder of A Moving World-We dance. Katia is dance movement therapist, special needs teacher trainer, group facilitator and dance instructor with extensive work experience in multi-cultural environments and community settings in the field of specialized education, transcultural psychiatry, trauma, resilience-building and dance movement therapy. 
The first day of the workshop was about Dance Movement Therapy and the participants were taken through how movement can be used therapeutically. The second day's focus was on trauma and the use of DMT for clients with trauma. The participants benefited from the experiential learning that they had and gained different insights about trauma.

Expressive Arts Therapy Workshop, Week 3 - 23/11/2019

This week's Expressive Arts Therapy workshop was about theory and practice. The different modalities used were Arts, Psychodrama and Movement. The participants took part enthusiastically and had a good time with a lot of learning.

Expressive Arts Therapy Promotional workshop at Women's Christain College, Chennai

Various activities were conducted  in the session using Expressive Arts Therapy. Active participation from the Psychology students of Women's Christian College made the workshop more interesting.
