East West Center for Counselling & Training
has
 concluded a 2-Day Introduction to Expressive Arts Therapy Workshop in 
Bangalore, at Sparsh Foundation, Cox Town on March 14th and 15th. 
The
 2-Day experiential workshop explored the combinations of Music Therapy,
 Art Therapy, Psychodrama, Storytelling and Dance Movement Therapy.
 
 Expressive arts therapy is a gentle, non-judgmental approach enabling 
the client to become aware of what is happening in his/her unconscious.
About the Trainer: 
 Dr. Karen Estrella is the
 Expressive Arts Therapy Program Coordinator in the Expressive Therapies
 Division at Lesley University, Boston, U.S.A. As a Music Therapist and 
Art Therapist, Dr. Estrella’s work has focused on developing an 
integrated arts approach to counselling and psychotherapy, and she has 
spent much of the past 15 years focused on developing competencies and 
integrating theory in Expressive Arts Therapy. In addition, Dr. Estrella
 is pursuing licensure as a Clinical Psychologist and practicing 
community based mental health counselling.
