Magdalene Jeyarathnam, Director of East West Center for Counselling and Training was invited to present a talk on the 'Indian Cultural Contexts Around Therapy, and Around Using the Arts for Therapy'. 

"The purpose of this conference was to discuss the inevitable relevance, significance and impact of Cultural Studies, both on life and literature. The International Conference on "Contextualizing Cultural Heritage in Literatures" was organized for the benefit of the research scholars and faculty members of various institutions nationwide. 5-Day Basic Counselling Skills Training in Chennai (29th December 2014 to 3rd January 2015)

East West Center for Counselling and Training 

recently conducted a 5-Day Basic Counselling Skills Training from December 29th 2014 to January 3rd 2015 in Chennai. 
The training covered the basic theoretical approaches to counselling. It included topics from 'Qualities of an Effective Counselor' to 'Counselling Micro Skills'. 

The training also introduced a few art therapy and psychodrama techniques that can be used in counselling sessions.

Expressive Arts Therapy - Batch 4 - December 2014 (Storytelling and Psychodrama)

East West Center for Counselling and Training, along with Women's Christian College 
is proud to present the annual Expressive Arts Therapy 1-year Diploma Program

The Expressive Arts Therapy program has completed its first module in December 2014 (8th to 19th), which encompassed the Storytelling and Psychodrama components. This module was conducted by Dr. Eric Miller and Dr. Herb Propper respectively.
